Meet The First Paintings

What is the aim for the collection?

The aim behind this collection is to raise awareness for the native animals and flowers that live right on our doorstep. There are so many incredible artists out there working hard to conserve the large and great animals on this planet, however it’s easy to miss the importance of the smaller more familiar creatures to us.

After backpacking around Asia for 8 months I deepened my understanding of the devastating effects of global warming on both local communities and wildlife. This journey strengthened my commitment to using art as a medium to raise awareness and inspire action. As an artist understanding these global issues is critical to my work, to convey both the beauty of our planet and the urgency of conservation through my art.

However once I returned I reflected on my own community and knew I had to begin with focusing locally.

What Charities Are We Supporting?

So far three incredible British charities have been selected for the first few paintings. This includes:

  • Bumble Bee Conservation UK
  • Wildlife Aid Foundation
  • Butterfly Conservation

This collection has the ability to raise an incredible £3510 for the listed charities!

Print Process

Firstly I take a series of high resolution scans on my Epson Scanner of each artwork. It is designed perfectly for capturing the transparent nature of watercolour, ensuring no detail is left out.

I then edit the scans in photoshop to remove any marks from the scanner and ensure the colours are identical to the original.

Finally I set my Canon printer ready for the printing process. I use museum quality paper and inks to get the highest quality finish with every print.

Delivery

If you require delivery, I use Royal Mail First Class Delivery for prints. I offer free delivery for prints if they are bought with or separately from the painting.
